Paris, France – Returning to the catwalks of Paris after a most noticeable absence of 3 years is one of the most singular talents of our day, Eymeric François. The young couturier took us by storm with new designs and inspirations in combination with his more known themes.
The collection began with a black pantsuit with elaborations, followed by a black cocktail dress in jacquard and with an opened back.
The third cocktail dress is explosive. It combines the designer’s fetish for bustiers and corsets into a magical effort. It would not be long before the designer would delight us with some of his favorite recurrent leitmotivs: ribbons, pins and zippers.
The first of these looks with the pins is a superbly tailored jacket ensemble. Then we see a short cocktail dress with corset. It is covered and detailed with thousands of gold plated pins.
In the gown, the couturier brings together his corsets with his draping talents. The shoulders and arms are fully revealed. Only the most delicate of silhouettes could do the gown justice.
Since his time away from the Parisian catwalks, the couturier has developed and matured. Though he still is in love with making women into desirable vixens, it is refreshing to see how he unites more conservative designing with his sex appeal. His long sleeved gown in black worn with corset is the perfect example of this. It has a plunging neckline and semi fish train.
The showstopper is the black sheath gown with semi fish train. It is sleeveless and more than 8000 lack lacquered pins were required to bring it to life.
