London, UK – International luxury brand ROKSANDA has announced the selection of Carmela Acampora as its new Chief Executive Officer.

The appointment comes as the business undergoes significant global expansion. That includes receiving investment from a family office individual, unveiling a rebrand from Roksanda Ilincic to ROKSANDA and implementing a considerable retail growth strategy, commencing with the opening of her debut store on London’s Mount Street. Next steps for the brand include further senior management expansion, international retail openings and the launch of e-commerce.

“We are delighted to announce Carmela’s appointment as CEO to the board, declared Eiesha Bharti Pasricha on behalf of the board.

Both a shareholder and board member at ROKSANDA, Pasricha went on to say, “The board went through a thorough process in selecting the right candidate whose vision is aligned with ours. This appointment marks an important step as we continue to invest in the future of the brand. We are excited at the prospect of Carmela and Roksanda working closely together and wish them both every success”.

Acampora, who will take up the position in January, joins from Aspinal of London, where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that she was at Burberry for 13 years, culminating in a role as Vice President and Managing Director, Emerging Markets.

“I am very excited about the opportunity of driving ROKSANDA towards greater success surrounded by an incredibly talented group of people“, said Acampora.

“Carmela’s appointment is a hugely exciting and significant step in the continued growth of my label”, stated founder Roksanda Illincic. “I am delighted to bring on board someone with the vision, energy and expertise to propel the evolution and expansion of the ROKSANDA brand on a global level”.

Roksanda Ilincic’s womenswear collections have been a staple of London Fashion Week since 2005. Since that time her label has become a go-to for women who desire an elegant but unmistakably modern approach to dressing. Over the year, Roksanda has been honoured with many awards, including the 2014 Harper’s Bazaar Businesswoman of the Year Award and the Red Carpet Award at both the British Fashion Awards and the ELLE Style Awards in 2013 – the latter recognising Roksanda’s burgeoning celebrity portfolio, which includes Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Obama, the Duchess of Cambridge, Jessica Chastain, Rachel McAdams, Jessica Biel, Keira Knightley, Emma Stone and Samantha Cameron.
