Lodz, Poland – Designer John Richmond is known for his love of rock’n’roll opted for a tone-down collection chic for Fall Winter 2015/16. Yet it remains British from start to finish. This new page in his universe must be considered as an exciting badge of rebellion.
The runway show was divided in groups showing different shades of menswear. A retro lover will fall in love with the fitted, classical three-piece suits in checks, pinstripes or solid neutral colors, which great for the daytime. The pants are cut just above the ankle to show colorful socks. The jackets are tailored for a slim silhouette with peaked lapels and shirts with small collars combined with thin ties. The great selection of shoes offers brogues and monks with interestingly colored soles.
The mood of the collection changes at one point with more leather pieces, parkas and coats with rich embroideries on the back, geometric and leopard prints. Some looks differ from the rest because of the vivid, graphic prints. The shoes change to sneakers and the theme gets more sporty casual.
John Richmond still shows he’s rebel side, showing a new face of revolt- the chic man in a suit fighting to gain power.
