Paris, France – Henrik Vibkov aims to keep his title of prince of interesting catwalk presentations in Paris. This season he created a strange massage parlor where men lying on flat tables are massaged by hundreds of hands that are suspended in air. It is certainly atypical, but it gets ones attention.
Vibskov proposes short-cropped suit jackets and trousers with elephant-like, voluminous legs. This latter is cut only to halfway down the legs. The many contrasts in style lead use to his print woven leggings and coats. Black and white geometric knits sweaters are paired with large, roomy black trousers.
This Fall Winter 2015/16 collection also sees a great deal of long skirts, which are worn over leggings. The look is often finished with nicely tailored blazers. And his short-cropped pea coat inspired coats with the large sleeves are the one to have.
If one looks beyond, actually FAR BEYOND, the unusual presentation style, the collection is truly a fine one. And if you can separate it from the distracting music and the hundreds of massaging hands, then one instantly sees that the designer has his finger on the pulse of something very extraordinary. Stylish silhouettes contain massive amount of great tailoring, lots of colors, fine knit pieces and creative looks.
