St. Petersburg, Russia – Iya Yots presents what must be considered as a collection light enough for Spring/Summer instead of with the sturdiness needed Fall Winter 2015/16.
The fabrics are lightweight, airy and flowing for the majority of the collection. The shapes are large and amply cut. It is only later in this generally pleasant collection where we see a few hints of velvet that would allow for one or two of the silhouettes to be classified in the winter category.
Beyond the spring fabrics and cuts, we find a very nice winter coat in cherry red and a blue one presented much later in the program. In spite of the collection being a breath of fresh air, to the eye of this writer the two coats are lone saving graces of the overall collection as winter wear. But then again, not everyone elects to spend their winter months in cold climate locations!
