The exhibition will showcase photography by some of the world’s most accomplished ‘on-set’ photographers. Jaeger-LeCoultre and Finch & Partners are delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate this visual art of photography, allowing us all the opportunity to travel back and rediscover some legendary films as well as iconic directors and actors. Many of the images are extremely rare and some have never been exhibited before. Photographic expert, John Ingledew, has specially curated each photograph.

Ingledew works with numerous magazines, newspapers, design groups and agencies including The Observer, The Times, The Sunday Times and The Mail on Sunday. He was head of photography at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, The University of The Arts London for ten years before joining the staff at The Donghua University in Shanghai, China in 2006. Ingledew is now Photography Course Leader at The University of Gloucestershire.

From actor to director, cameraman to editor, costume designer to sound recordist and film score composer to set photographer, each tells their part of the story and contributes to the final product in a unique and important way. It is this artistic ingenuity and the importance of the visual art of photography that Jaeger-LeCoultre and Finch & Partners will celebrate with this exhibit.

Finch & Partners bridges the gap between the world’s leading multinational brands and creative industries. Finch & Partners was founded by Charles Finch, former Head of International Motion Pictures at the William Morris Agency in June 2005, and today is a creative brand consultancy proudly representing and advising the most distinguished artists, brands and institutions across the world. From concept and strategy to execution and delivery, Finch & Partners’ fully integrated service offers specialist expertise in global luxury marketing, media management and all aspects of the entertainment business from film and television production to music and live entertainment events.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has been actively involved for more than 10 years in promoting the 7th art. The Brand notably encourages directors through the “Glory to the Filmmaker” prize awarded for the past eight years at the Venice International Film Festival. In 2013 Jaeger-LeCoultre further established its active support of the film community and its new generation of filmmakers by joining forces with The Film Society of Lincoln Center to create the ‘Filmmaker in Residence’ Program. Through its link with the Shanghai Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre participates in restoring historical Chinese films, a precise, meticulous and passionately driven endeavour highly reminiscent of watchmaking craftsmanship.
