Lisbon, Portugal – Designer Alexandre Moura has found inspiration for Fall Winter 2015/16 in the conditions of the cold Siberia, and mostly by primitive civilizations. She brings large volumes to for the forefront of fashion this season. She is also infusing new aesthetics into her universe she seeks to widen it. This new collection is inspired.
In the menswear the designer uses traditional cuts for spacious trousers. However the tops of the outerwear are created with extremely large volumes. She is embellishing them with lots of large “fringes”, but which are actually pleats.
As the collection evolves we see Asian inspirations used to bring a bit more diversity to her silhouettes. The trousers for men become short and dramatically voluminous. In the women’s line she uses amusing fur. It is colorful and looks to be cotton candy in essence.
Once again we see the designer’s strength lies more so in the menswear. However, she is doing what needs to be done to make the womenswear more interesting and diverse.
