Lodz, Poland – Freedom, fun, adventure and never a dull moment. “White rabbit” is the name of the collection for Spring/Summer 2016 by designer Julian Zigerli.
The whole work is of Japanese fashion inspired that is rather cheeky, energetic and frivolous. Mixing two separates the dark and disturbing with playful and cute for a twisted combination. One should notice the prints of vintage looking characters, bunnies, kittens, teddy bears and pin-ups. a result of meeting Seitaro Ito- an illustrator from Tokyo. In the show the prints are combined with each other for a more striking effect.
Another leading trait in the collection are the pieces with ink stain effect, shadowing of colors, color blocking and wooden finish. Top stitching and visible pockets are also seen. The silhouettes consists of cool pants, shorts, shirts, coats and tops. All are created in vertical lines, but are boxy and have a little loose.
The colors are white, grey, dark navy, black and intense shades of the prints. The accessories include bags and fun heart-shaped eyewear by the company Lunettes Kollektion in many colors. The work as a whole is oriented more to the edgy fashion forward crowd- which doesn’t take theirselves to seriously.
