Paris, France – The new Fall Winter 2015/16 couture collection at Bursardi unfortunately is severely lacking in diversity. In the cocktail dresses we find only two or three specific shapes. Those shapes tend to be endlessly repeated in different fabrics such as silk crepe, lace, and jacquard. We even sometimes with an embellishment here and there in the form of feathers, fur and embroideries. But other than that we have the impression that we are looking at pretty much the same dress. It gives one the impression that they were conceived in little time.
This collection is by no means to be considered as extraordinary. However, it is not without its redeeming qualities.
The evening gowns provide us with moments in which true couture make their appearances. There are some absolutely lovely dresses such as the short-sleeved number in soft pink with re-embroidered lace and the sleeveless gown in light gray. They are the saving graces here.
