New York, USA – Presenting in New York during the fashion week, Laurence & Chico organized a viewing of its new collection. The Spring/Summer 2016 outing takes on epic proportions as it proposes more than 200 pieces styled together in seventy-seven silhouettes. They are youthful and bring joy thanks to the creative naitivity that oftentimes — if not systematically — infuses itself into just about aspect of the collection.
The collection is a composition en masse of shorts, jumpsuits, t-shirt tops, skirts, light coats, jackets, pants, dresses, and hats. They have been created on a variety of materials which include silks, knits, cotton and technically savvy fabrics. The shorts are cut above the knees while the pants are at times slim cut and seem to marry the legs. And of course in a collection as huge as this one is, there are other proposals in volumes. They can be found in the large cut trousers. The tops include sleeveless numbers, tank-top inspirations and simply designed men’s t-shirts that have been repurposed for the easiness that a woman may crave.
Color is a vital element to the perception and overall good reception of the collection. Black and white dominate the palette. However, green, pink and yellow highlight sections of it too. Polka dots are also indispensable as are the prints. All these color codes are applied to the entertaining hats. They are pretty much the biggest accessories in the collection all save the shoes and the occasional set of gloves.
Once all is said and done, the is a strong collection for Laurence & Chico. It is certain to appeal to a large and diverse clientel. And a final joyous point of this collection is that you will feel well wearing the pieces too.
