Novi Sad, Serbia – French designer Sandrine Philippe absolutely captured the eye of all Serbia with the presentation of her new collection for Spring/Summer 2016. Hers is a work that is devoted to making men attractive. Her secret is that she infuses each piece with a dark, urban sex appeal.
The collection has a near monotone palette of black. Rare are the gray pieces that try to break the domination of black. She imposes them on her textures of leather, linen, jersey, cotton, silk and deliberately wrinkled materials. With them she creates garage-like jumpsuits, pants with roomy seats and slim legs, large collars, etc. She moves the silhouettes between leather and cotton.
Sandrine Philippe drapes and sculpts her materials in a way that would easily rival the best of what one would expect to find in a women’s ready-to-wear collection. To achieve this results she employs sartorial tailoring in order to soften the edges. This makes the silhouettes far more friendly to urban cosmopolites.
The work in the collection is extremely exquisite and transcending! The styling is simple but nothing else is needed other than a few accessories. And her the designer spoils us with large backpacks.
