Novi Sad, Serbia – For just one minute, let’s close our eyes and imagine the following: nude skin, black, leather, fur and cotton denim. Now let’s imagine a wardrobe that has been conceived to conjugate all these elements togethers. Now let’s also imagine a parade of savagely sexy men with a dangerous swag and that is nearly hypnotic!
Have you done it? Good. Now you have the background to understanding the new menswear collection by Serbian superstar designer Bata Spasojevic.
The designer has taken the elements with which he loves to work and fashioned them into an exciting collection. The pieces are rugged, but still boast of an intense male desirability. They include fur coats, pleated kilts, baggy trousers, fitted knitwear, printed T-shirts, tailored suits and also fleece tops with bold emblems.
Bata Spasojevic is no fool. He fully understands that some men actually enjoy being considered as objects of lustful, sexual desire. So to help them in along, he uses very visible silver zippers, buttons and even patches to immediately draw the eye’s attention directly to the crouch area! He further embellishes the collection with giant knit scarves, leather trimmings and more metallic buttons & zippers. This results in a strong collection with an urban edge.
This is without a doubt some of Bata Spasojevic’s best work for men. When the dust settled it was clear that the designer had triumphed. And for his efforts, he was well rewarded with a thunderous round of applause as he came to the catwalk to take his bow before a very enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
