Paris, France – The Nehera Fall Winter 2016/17 collection is a current display of modernity in terms of cuts, style and relevancy. This is exactly what artistic director Samuel Drira set out to achieve.
The collection sees the designer enjoying a tremendous work with leather, velvets, silk, wool felt, etc. He combines them effortlessly into loose proportions, angular cuts, voluminous trousers, etc. To them Drira adds beautiful capes. The looks have a layered appearance as the models move through space and through time. The natural colors to taupe, creme, caramel, muted gold, etc. add to the strength of the collection.
And whether desired or not, Nehera created a powerful message in his choice of models. They range in age of classic current of 17 – 22. Then we see middle-aged women before finally seeing women well above fifty. As they all look equally well in the collection, one suddenly understands that Nehera is a movement that is inclusive of women in all phases of their life.
