Lodz, Poland – The much awaited presentation of the new collection by Ptaszek ended up being one of the highlights of this edition of Fashion Week in Poland.
Known for her superb menswear, Monika Ptaszek presented a huge selection replete with option for the female vigilante. The signature dark mood is deep with a full edgy and grunge effect. It is still here with many garments presenting the style that the author loves. There are motifs such as draping, voluminous oversized pieces, bleached out denim, shredded unfinished effects and horizontal stripes.
The raw masculine energy teams up with the dark romanticism visible in the lace or satin dresses for the ladies. The looks are a little elongated featuring many asymmetric details such as buckles or zippers. The collection consists of long skirts, dresses, sweatshirts, pants, coats, jackets and bombers.
The colors used are mainly black, navy, grey, beige, brown with touches of vivid colors in stripes or rust and muted earth tones shades in paisley details. The work as a whole really true to the vibe the designer likes, with strong garments the customers feel would like to buy straight from the rack.
The menswear features unrefined edges, sports elements integrated in to the daily pieces, and comfortables volumes and shapes. The denim pieces are some of the strongest options for men.
