Marcellous L. Jones & Phaedra L. Jones

Mykolaiv, Ukraine – The fashion critic and pioneering television host and producer, Marcellous L. Jones, has been inducted as a member of Ukraine’s National Assembly of Science & Arts. The award was presented in Mykolaiv, Ukraine during the recent South of Ukraine Fashion Days.

The award was granted by the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts for his contributions to fashion journalism. Jones traveled in person to the Ukraine as guest of honor at the South of Ukraine Fashion Days in order to accept the honor.

The award was presented to him for his career.  It is one that has seen him launch the world’s first internationally television show dedicated exclusively to international men’s fashion. Running for 16 season, his MEN’S FASHION INSIDER television program found its way each week into homes in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Belgium, The Netherlands, etc. He is the founder of Magazine and is co-founder of the Serbia Fashion Week. And in just under three years, the last accomplishment has grown into the world’s fifth largest fashion week after Paris, Milan, Madrid and London.

During his stay Marcellous L. Jones met with the mayor. He also presented to journalists, designers and fashion students one of his most popular conferences:  “What Every Young Designer Must Know When Presenting to International Press & Buyers for the First Time”. 

On the honor he commented, “Once again I have been elected to receive an honor for doing the work that I love. I am only happy that I have gained experiences in the world of fashion that are a value to others. I am honored and humbled to have been chosen to help others achieve their dreams and in any way that I can.”

The award ceremony took place during a fashion competition for young fashion designers, which was an official part the program. Both South of Ukraine Fashions Days president Aleksandra Volkova and Elena Trigub, representative of the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts, presented the award to Jones.
