Paris, France – Elegant and practical, two words which become the essence of the iconic brand Agnes B. The Spring/Summer 2017 collection is designed for women who need clothes for a wide variation of occasions, but who always want to look ladylike. From a casual bike ride to a business meeting, Agnes B. designs classy looks for anything we might need.

On the catwalk we are able to spot a wide variety of proper dresses around knee-length. Pastel floral prints are the favorite style for these looks. Furthermore, we also see many leather pencil skirts and business suits for the more professional looks. In the casual department we see three variations: cool leather jackets, trench coats, and black designs. There are also the photo printed outfits with inspiration from nature such as water & grass, and then at last the pajama trend – which is one of the personal favorites of the designer herself.

When asked what she had in mind while creating her Spring/Summer 2017 collection Agnes B. answers very pragmatically, as she is known for: “I design clothes, which are made to be really worn by women, to be taken in a suitcase and travel to any destination. I chose fabrics which don’t crinkle, are comfortable and easy to clean. I chose colors and shapes which match easily with the rest of a woman’s’ wardrobe. I design for people, not for artistic purposes.”

As Agnes B. is known for her timeless designs, does automatically mean that she stays away from trends? Not necessarily. She chooses the trends that suit with the fashion house and personalizes them within her collection. Not only does she join the pajama trend for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 season, we are also able to spot a couple of holographic and shimmer pleated skirts. Finding a way to follow the trends while being true to your own timeless style is truly admirable.
