Paris, France – The German fashion house known as Talbot Runhof takes us into the wild for a jungle safari in Spring/Summer 2017. It is that very energy that is transformed into very sophisticated garments with a bit of real humor for the season.
The collection has dresses and coats with voluminous sleeves. They very often bear dazzling original prints. In fact the monkey patch is the recurring visual that helps to bring a continuity to the pieces. It pops up all over the place on the sleeves, net tops, on the quilted dress, on the halter dress with blooming bottom, etc. The pieces are accessorised with rubber cords, metal forms, eyelets, zippers, bold gold buttons and a huge plethora of pockets. Overall, the silhouettes fit closely to the body. Emphasis is placed on the waistline. The trousers are cut widely, while the sleeves are voluminous and the skirts cut spaciously. Many of the looks feature billowing ponchos.
The Talbot Runhof collection is constructed on cool, crisp cotton twills, feathers, seersuckers and poplins, double-face iridescent active-wear net and basketball tricot mesh. Other textures in the collection include a diverse range of sporty, utility fabrics and parachute nylon with a traditional embroidery. They are expressed in a wide variety of colors that run from white, cream and sand to black with just a clever little hint of jungle red and caribbean blue.
The accessories are very limited this season. But the shoes are the most present of them. They include flat sandals with three inch heels and tassels.
