Paris, France –   This season the the Italian menswear designer, Julian Zigerli has decided to shift us away from the cool skateboarding antics of his presentation of six months ago in Paris. This time he has opted for a more intimate happening to present his new Fall Winter 2017/18 collection. In Paris he presents his menswear with a few looks for women as well. It cool because we see people dressed and replicating aspects of ordinary daily life in an apartment.

Julian Zigerli has built the collection on a structure of heavy jerseys, chunky handmade, corduroy, cotton, nylon and wool. He coats them in colors of green, tartans, black, white, beige, leopard prints, grey marl, etc. He uses them to create pants of both slim and amply cut proportions; long coats, amusing knitwear, cool outerwear and even clever shoes.

Julian Zigerli says of his work, “The AW17 collection represents the guilty pleasures of the heart – what we all desire, but would never admit. Emphasising on everything in the familiar setting the humble house-cat calls home, the pieces showcase a warm, comforting core, teamed with an edge of narcissism and egoism for good measure.

The most amusing thing about the collection are animal inspirations. Yes leopard prints are used as accents of the collection. However the knit sweater with the kitten and the floppy ears is the most endearing piece.
