Paris France – A very pleasant newcomer to the couture scene in Paris this season is Greek designer Celia Kristharioti. She decided to take us all to the Ritz Hotel at Place Vendôme for the presentation of her very feminine, seasonal silhouettes.
Celia Kristarioti is a staple name among Greece’s independent fashion houses. At home in Athens, she has successful bridal and ready-to-wear brands. But it is in Paris where she hopes to gain international recognition for the atelier work of her couture collections. She is off to a great start too with silhouettes that range from short and energetic mini-dresses for parties to her longer, more refined long dresses and gowns for formal occassions. The dresses are treated to a variety of color, materials and techniques that are required to bring them to life.
Yellow, barely-there pink, powdery blue, pearl, white and pastel mint green form the color palette on the delicate materials of lace, silk, tulles, chiffon, etc. These materials are further embellished with embroideries, crystals and ostrich feathers. As the models move through space and through time, excitement is created as they leave a very positive and long-lasting impression on the eye. This is a collection that leaves us very excited and in great anticipation of very soon seeing more from her !
FAVORITE LOOK: The long draped gown in powdery blue chiffon with a single shoulder, bow and crystal enhanced neckband. This look is effortlessly and resolutely the most feminine look in the collection.
