Paris, France – If you are looking for simplicity of style, then do not go to a couture show by Lebanese couturier Ziad Nakad. If you are looking for daywear, then do not go to his fashion show. And if you are looking for then”understated”, then you definitely need to look elsewhere because you will not find it at Ziad Nakad. Seriously, if you are looking for that kind of couture, then visiting Nakad’s atelier would prove certainly to be a futile and frustration exercise. However instead, you will find beautiful and exquisitely detailed garments that always require hundreds and hundreds of hours to bring them into existence.
In his Spring/Summer 2017 collection, Ziad Nakad demonstrates why he has a place in the world of couture. He has brought forth into existence numerous dresses and gowns fit for the world’s most sought-after society matrons. Each silhouette has been created with the finest materials including silk, silk crepe, gazar, organza, silk tulle, laces, etc. The cuts are always long and never fully reveal the leg, all save for an occasion split.
Each silhouette has been richly embellished with handmade embroideries, crystals, beads, sequins, ostrich feathers, silk petals, etc. It took countless amounts of hours to create the decorative embroideries. When added together there are literally millions and millions of these embellishing elements that have been sewn onto the dresses and into the embroideries.
FAVORITE LOOK: Any number of the dresses could be chosen at random and nominated as the favorite.
