Paris, France – Of all the fashion houses and independent designers showing in Paris at the moment, ASHI STUDIO is one of the two that has the most potential to shake things up and turn the couture establishment on its head. Its collections have been rightfully characterized as artistic, wearable and unbelievably elegant and beautiful. Its new collection for Spring/Summer 2017 is no different.
Ashi Studio continues to impress us with the refinement of its creations. In this new body of work, we see the house renewing with the codes that define its work: tight waistlines, soft peaks, impressive volumes and proportions, stiff forms, asymmetrical edges and an overwhelming affinity for white. They have been skillfully employed in the creation of the beautiful and artful forms.
There is magic in the world of haute couture. And Ashi Studio is unashamed in its use of it. It calls upons the spirits of skill, technique, vision and sumptous fabrics. The house only uses the finest of sumptuous materials including silk chiffon, lace, silk tulle, organza, lace and silk crepe in its silhouettes that reveal a strong neckline, legs and the arms. Each look is made incredibly more breathtaking with the exquisite embroideries that have been used to add more dimension to the designs. Of course Ashi Studio gives each silhouette a remarkable taille de guêpe or hourglass shape, which is crowned by the tiny waistline. And when all is said and done, we have a textbook guideline for judging perfection in the crafting of haute couture.
FAVORITE LOOK: Ashi Studio’s couture is the incarnation of regality. Any look from this collection could be a legitimate candidate for the honor of being the best look in the collection.
