Paris, France – In their new couture collection for Fall Winter 2017/18, the British couture house of Ralph & Russo has shown why they are one step closer to obtaining the coveted “haute couture” label as recognized justification of their work. Under the creative direction of Tamara Ralph and the executive management of Michael Russo, we see one of the loveliest collections of the seasons being presenting with panache, style and zest.
Ralph & Russo opens with detailed silhouettes in extreme white. The first features trousers in crepe that have been embellished with beautiful embroideries. It is worn with a matching top with bell sleeves and a barely noticeable mandarin neckline. It is finished with elaborate embroideries. The bucket hat is finished with ornate embroidery work. The next look is an exquisite tailleur with soft, rounded lapels on the jackets. Its silk skirt adds additional softness with as it reveals the legs through its split.
As the show continues, the house unveils more looks created in velvet, silks, crepes, lace, organza and tweed. Sequin strips form some of the most illuminating elements of the collection.
Among the top looks of this collection are the skirt suit in tweed; the black gown with long sleeves, plunging neckline and high-rising splits. The pale rose off-the-shoulder gown in silky satin is one of the most attractive looks in the entire collection, if not the most attractive !
It goes without saying that Ralph & Russo technical skills are present in each piece.
