Paris, France – As she came forth to take a bow at the end of her fashion show to present her new women’s collection at Paul & Joe for Spring/Summer 2018, the designer Sophie Méchaly was greeted with a well-deserved round of thundersous applause. It was the reward for having put on a light and colorful display of fashion that could also quite possibly be considered as some of her best work in over the past several seasons.
The new collection is a body of modern attire that falls under the influence of colors. The silhouettes are placed under the domination of practical, feminine day wear with shorts, blouses, pants sets, etc. Colorful prints are used in the T-shirt dresses and classic button down, long shirt shirts.
The French designer makes sure that the Paul & Joe woman this season will also have her share of delicates pieces to wear thanks to a selection of her dresses. Some of them lean on the sleep wear inspired trend. Falling closely among the most trendy movements of the season, we find pieces with hints of lingerie in mind. And also making the trends cut are the long, maxi length dresses. From among them, the long white one with the floral embellishments is simply refreshing.
SPECIAL NOTE: Paul & Joe is offering quite a few accessories this season. So be on the look out for the hand bags in pastel pink and the assortment of babydoll shoes.
