Paris, France – Today in Milan, Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani announced that on Saturday, 11th, the eight participants in the Armani/Laboratorio project were officially announced and met their respective mentors. Roberta Armani attended the event, which took place at the Casa del Cinema in Rome.

The young creative talents, specialising in various fields, are the following: Marco Armando Piccinini (directing), Alessandro Padovani (screenwriting), Andrea Cordaro (cinematography), Midori Hasuike (set design), Artemide Alfieri (editing), Sofia Casciardi (costumes), Camilla Spalvieri (make-up) and Silvia Acquapendente (hairstyling). Each student shall be guided throughout the workshop by a professional in their respective discipline: screenwriter and author Francesca Marciano, director Michele Placido, director of photography Luca Bigazzi, film editor Patrizio Marone, costume designers Gabriella Pescucci and Alessandro Lai, set designer Paki Meduri, make-up artist Maurizio Silvi and hair stylist Aldo Signoretti.

The meeting was an important opportunity for discussion and debate, and laid the groundwork for the short film that will be shot at the end of the theoretical and practical lessons. These will take place from the end of November at the Armani/Silos in Milan. After a presentation focusing on the unbreakable bond between Armani and the world of cinema, and the repercussions that this has always had on the fashion designer’s aesthetics, the works submitted by the students, for which they were chosen, were presented.
