Washington, DC – The 28th edition of the British Fashion Awards anointing prestigious British and international fashion contributors has taken place at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington. While a slew of famous muses attended the show in dazzling creations, Versace once again held high court with her show stopping designs.
Donatella Versace’s creations continue to be a tribute to her late brother Gianni Versace, but it is very difficult to upstage the creations that she closed the Spring/Summer 2018 show. And a constellation of stars from fashion, sports, music, etc. chose to be clad by the house for the event.
Jourdan Dunn’s orange one sleeve draped gown was lightly embellished with Swarovski crystal details to compliment a sexy high/low look. Rita Ora shimmered in a vintage Versace chocolate chainmail gown with light degradé Swarovski crystals masterfully woven throughout.
Versace was also on high display in a long white evening gown worn by Irina Shayk featuring a crystal bustier and draping around the hips. Stella Maxwell and FKA Twigs both wore looks from the Versace Tribute collection. Eva Herzigova paired over the knee boots with a fully beaded LBD Swarovski draped panel mini cocktail dress. Classic Versace men’s wear suiting was on full display, Conor McGregor sported a burgundy, black peak lapel tux with complimentary black pocket trim; Lewis Hamilton sported a red tartan suit accessorized with a Barocco silk pocket square sprinkled with Swarovski crystals. Naomi Campbell was attired in a custom Versace high/low gown with tiered folds that created a train effect highlighting an underlining that was finished with chartreuse Swarovski crystals.
