Paris, France – It is a gloriously sunshine-kissed and beautiful day in Paris that provides the backdrop for the scene on which fashion house Issey Miyake showed its new menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2019. In it we find total looks shown and broken up and styled with other pieces. The sum total of what we see equals nothing less than an easy, carefree style to come.
The Japanese house presents ensembles in solids, stripes and tie-dye colors. Shirts, pants, shorts appear in linen. They are cut and sewn together so that the patterns appear at the center of the looks. The woven pieces include lightweight garments with no linings. Here Issey Miyake impresses us with the lightness of these high density fabrics, which brandish engineered patterns. These looks are fully complemented with knitted materials that are composed of both natural cottons and technical materials such as polyester.
As it is summer, the house is going for lots of baggy shorts and amply cut trousers with drawstring at their waist. The shirts and blouson style jackets are cut loosely and comfortably.
