Paris, France – The new collection by Tony Ward for Spring/Summer 2014 is a beautiful affair where silk, duchess satin, silk chiffon, gazar, macramé lace and embroidered tulle work together to create gowns and elegant suits for today’s society woman. The designer first decides to interpret a flower’s full bloom through the use of origami.

Hand-painted silk is use to work out the beautiful white silk with lilac splashes. Architectural forms are used to create modern gowns, which strike a clear and cut counterbalance to the silhouettes that are studded in crystals. The details are intricate and complex.

At times the collection looked less like a coherent collection and more like a showing of individual favorite ideas. But the end of the presentation is a well-timed wedding gown which unites in one silhouettes all the major themes from the entire collection.
