KRIS VAN ASSCHE
INNOVATIVE AND PRACTICAL
By Marcellous L. JONES
Paris, France – Kris van Assche is staying far, far away from the much over-done, over-sized proportions that we have seen dominating the catwalks of Paris. His silhouettes feature slim, pencil-thin trousers. They are placed together with very slim-fitted blazers. The lapels have been made very short this season. The innovation sees the designer long further in his research for hybrid looks.
Cotton, button-down tops and shoulders are put together with knits to create an innovative look. This is also down in combination of dress shirting fabrics and jersey or wool. The latter two have been used to created hooded sweat top pieces.
