WALTER VAN BEIRONDONCK
In Step with Emerging Trends
By Marcellous L. JONES
Paris, France – Walter van Beirondonck takes baggy, quilted trousers in black and makes them the starring attraction in a collection where practically cut suit jackets are dazzled up with sparkling lapels. In step with the trends that are invading the department stores, he gives his coats and blazers an inhuman look. This is created with extreme work on volumes.
Technical fabrics are used to create his slim trousers. Then a graphic pattern in natural fibers is used in other trousers and jackets. He also uses it in both the long, tapered pants and the ¾ voluminous trousers. He prefers his knitted mohair sweaters with graphic colors to appear with his black leggings.
