Gaia Restores the Honor of TRUSSARDI

June 2014

Milan, Italy – One could feel the electricity in the air at the Trussardi show as the fashion world waited breathlessly for the first outing with its new artistic direction.

Gaia Trussardi has taken over the artistic direction of the family group. She single-handedly brought the excitement back to the brand that it has frankly been missing the past recent seasons.

The linen garage jumper, python in the shorts and a long trench automatically got our attention.  A short-cropped perfecto style jacket in ostrich skin was done so thinly that one could have thought that it was not an animal skin at all.

Amply cut T-shirts with both long and short sleeves are done in a micro-thin neoprene. Trousers in thin leather are worn with a gorgeous sheer shirt.  Later she tosses in with no effort at all suede in grey, then as a navy blue shirt.

As if to boast that she is a master craftswoman in reworking animal skins, she does a final parade of gorgeous looks in ostrich, leather and python.  And for good measure she tosses in a few pieces in silk such as a near-floor sweeping trench.

Gaia’s work on the leather is undeniably EXTRAORDINARY! And through it and her keen eye for good taste and masculinity, she has restored the honor of the house.
