The Low-Fi Way
June 2014

Milan, Italy – “Low-Fi” is the idea pun which English fashion rocker John Richmond has created his new collection for Spring/Summer 2014. The designer is all about taking tribalism and infusing it into his city oriented collection.
Richmond designed all the prints himself. Massive amounts of tribal patterns appear in the silhouettes. This allowed the collection to get away from the much too seen printed and patterns all-too obviously generated by computers.
The abundant weekend and city suits have the waist raised very high. This results in the blazer being cut just 2 or 3 inches below the beltline. Some suits are done in in a brilliant silky sheen, while others have shorts instead of the short-cropped trousers. And the collars on the short, zip down jackets in leather all have crew neckline.
