PENITENTIARY MISSES INTENSITY

Milan, Italy – Dsquared2 pulled together a collection this season starring it using suspects.  Thanks to their elaborate décor, designers Dan and Dean Caten keep the audience wondering as to what surprises were in store during the presentation. In the end all’s well that ends well.

Though this will be undoubtedly a very commercially successful collection for the Dsquared2 house, its “Penitentiary” theme felt extremely last minute. It clearly lacked the usual inspired depth of intensity of previous shows.

Among Dsquared2’s usual suspects we find looks under the total domination of jeans. They along have been accessorized coats, shoes and bag. These are the points on which the collection will find its commercial sales. However, the end of the collection sees softer more diverse looks being added in a shaky attempt to present a well-balanced season. They include some prerequisite knitwear and some total looks with color blocking.

The best from this section sees the inclusion of sleek leather pieces like coats and short-cropped windbreakers.
