Paris, France – The new Spring/Summer 2015 men’s collection at Lanvin is a work in expression. Our fashion hero is about transposing sportswear into more sophisticated pieces like suits. However, the blazers are oversized, and “unconstructed” as stated pre-show by Lucasz Ossendrijver.
The trousers are in the shapes this season: slightly room and straight cut, slim or roomy at the seat and hips and then trimmed as they move downwards. The short-cropped jackets have hoods. Once unzipped, the hoods form small wings, which fall from the back shoulders.
The colors include black, burgundy, green, grey, prints, etc.
It’s interesting how Lanvin always manages to stay clear of what everyone else is doing in the only to find their ideas reinterpreted by many other houses in the seasons to come. So when we see everyone else doing unconstructed longer blazers with oversized shoulders, you’ll know the trend started at Lanvin for Spring/Summer 2015.
