Lisbon, Portugal – 1969’s Woodstock Festival is without a doubt one of the biggest sources of heavy inspiration for designer Christophe Sauvat. And it would appear that he too is a fan of Manish Arora’s universe as well as he seemingly brought the two together for the new Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

He opens the collection with long free-spirited dresses. The jackets in the collection have ethnic details, as do the shoes and bags. Actually the little vest puts in the mind of the work that Manish Arora did in his Fall Winter 2014 collection six months ago.

Sauvat does great work at creating short, perky dresses for the girl who is carefree and a bit earthy. Cotton dominates while every bright color is used to give life to the silhouettes of pants of pants, tops, jackets and dresses.

Though not a collection to the particular tastes of Fashion Insider’s readers, it is extremely cohesive and pleasant upon the eye. And one believes that any woman would be wise to keep an open eye when examining the latter portion of the collection with its EXCITING sequined pieces.
