Lodz, Poland – Fresh off of his nomination for Best Collection of the Season at the Serbia Fashion Awards, designer Vasilije Kovacev made his next appearance on the catwalks of the FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland today. His designs brought much needed warmth to the cold winds of Lodz, Poland where the show took place.
The Serbian designer presented a much-reduced collection than that shown only days ago on the catwalks of Novi Sad. This time the high heels were gone. The hair was upswept. All attention fell on the body conscious collection that is dominated by black jersey.
His sprites and desert nymphs parade around barefoot in dresses created in draping. The plunging V-neck cuts and the embellishments below the waist bring attention to the most essential parts of the woman’s silhouette: the shoulders, the breasts, the waist and the hips. Once set into motion, they create a natural sensuality as the move through space and time.
