Lodz, Poland – The first show during today’s Designer Avenue. The designer went back to her roots with a strong collection dedicated to women age 30-45 enjoying good quality clothes that stand out. Warm, rich, exotic, spicy and eye catching.
It’s good to see Aga in a theme she strongly feels about. The whole collection was inspired by oriental design. The colors where simple featuring mostly black, oxidized gold, beige, ecru and chestnut. The main fabrics where jacquard, chiffon, sequins, taffeta, neoprene foam, silk, lace and pressed polyester from Italy. The show featured dresses (mostly above the knee, maxi’s, bell shaped even midi), pants, coats, shorts, tops and jackets. Everything consistent and aiming at the clients needs and really true to everything Aga showed already. The details of the clothes where rich embroideries gold lace on black dresses, open backs, sequined details, harmonic pleats and paisleys.
Another thing is that the designer knows the woman’s body. The fit was great, with to disturb the proportions of the silhouette. Everything is well tailored to define the curves. Thus giving some pieces a seductive charm. The dark aspect combine with heat. Spicy accents change the simplicity of this wearable collection.
Maybe it is not for everyone. But I must admit I really liked it.
