Lodz, Poland- This season Spring/Summer 2015 by Odio & Jakub Pieczarkowski of Poland shows multiple silhouettees divided into 3 categories giving a surprising, yet logical unity.
The first part consists of clothes in light, pastel colors. They are subtle in color with a powerful feeling because of the asymmetry and geometrics in the cuts and details. The clothes have an ethnic and boho vibe, with all of the feathers and fringe. There is so much happening because of many mixed textures, details and prints, which create a striking complexity.
The second part is more quiet and is inspired by the East, with a mixture of turquoise and red with strong prints in gold. The silhouettes are more subtle but still give a powerful statement. This part is the most connected with the idea of the style of the brand to which everyone has become accustomed. And finally the show ended with black which creates a rather cold ending. The black pieces only have a little shining detail –a surprising opposite to the lively and bright pieces at the beginning.
The whole collection shows that the designers can handle many different styles. And personally, this writer loves the variety of styles, colors and textures. The details along with the the big pockets and the eccentric shoes covered in fur and fringes are the standouts.
In this end the designers have created a collection that is a great option for the younger client who is not scared of giving a strong fashion statement that is funky, edgy and eye-catching.
