Poland, Lodz – During the 11 edition of the FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland in Lodz, ZWYRD premiered its latest collection of called Self Destruct. Behind the name ZWYRD hides Grzegorz Marcisz –  a talented student of fashion design at Academy of Fine Arts. He made his debut on the previous edition of the FW, where he surprised everyone with his men’s collection called Core.

And this time he surprised us as well. The collection is inspired by the post-industrial energy. Raw factory’s interiors, visible pipes and cables. One would be tempted to say that designer is inspired by Lodz, the traditional industrial capitol of Poland. This is bookish example of manufacturing town where the factory setting is typical. And this city, in spite of some kind of ugliness, can also surprise.

The dominant colors in the collection are dirty gray, white, ultramarine blue and black. The interesting parts are the fireworks prints on blouses and projects made of shiny gold materials. This is particularly relevant to super-tensions, explosions and it is really intriguing. Amazing golden skirt is worthy of remembrance, even though the scenery of collection is row and stringent, proved to be extremely feminine.

Silhouettes of models are really formless, slightly oversize and impractical. But fashion is a matter of something more. It’s not a huge deal to get inspired by the season, the style of the Renaissance or the 20th fashion. However, art means to find beauty there, where little dry eye can notice nothing.
