Lisbon, Portugal – The new Spring/Summer 2015 collection by Fatima Lopes is set in three colors: canary yellow, white and black. These colors appear separately, and therefore creates a sense of clarity and transparency.
Unfortunately, most of the pieces are made in heavy materials. Despite the purpose of the collection and its summer cuts, the materials are simply too rigid and don’t lay on body. However, thick black satin is not exactly a proper fabric to be worn during the hot summer. In addition, to be decided on ¾ pants we should give up on ankle’s fastened shoes. It not only visually shortens the silhouette, but also makes for weighty bottoms.
Likewise, there is the combination of delicate materials with visible zips. Of course, it doesn’t cause pulling the materials down, but simply does not fit. The asymmetric top with half sewn white collar, sash-like black yarn and black polka dot patterned headband is definitely too much just for one outfit. For the record, matching of patterns and combining of fabrics are rare skills. But that’s why we called it art.
What does work with this collection? For the upcoming season the Lopes proposes simple one-piece swimsuits. Nowadays, triumphs saint bikinis, but this intriguing pieces unveiling woman’s body is extremely sexy and classy at the same time. The light airy dresses with bare backs hit the collection as well. Also, noteworthy is the elegant overalls with straps in black and the shoes, because of those mergers and hiding rounded heels. Although, sometimes you can get the impression that fingers just fleeing in those, but you can also can get funny suntan while wearing this one-piece swimsuit.
This collection is not rating 5, but any woman would be glad to see some of these pieces in her closet.
