Novi Sad – Mladen Baron presents a collection of lovely and seasonally appropriate floral prints for Spring/Summer 2015. The women’s line sees the designer creating dresses with lace accents — a favorite in his arsenal — and with silk chiffon bottoms. Here the work oscillates between perky & feminine to more sophisticated and sexy. He reserves for them perfectly elaborate and very ornate headdresses as the right touch of accessorizing. They bring the right attention to the gowns and garments without overshadowing them.
Though some minor finishing details could be better in the presentation of the menswear, it appears that designer has found authentic inspiration. The work here is technically far superior to his previous outing six months ago. This is equally reflected in the styling, which gives the men a distinctive personality from the women’s line while still complimenting it. The gentlemen have lovely pants with motifs. He uses the pink floral pattern from the womenswear to create accents such as in the ties. The men have a hint more of uniformity than do the ladies.
This season Baron creates extremely vivid bottom halves while only using crisply pressed white shirts for the men. The only exceptions made are in regards to the men’s suits, which are both double and single breasted.
