Milan, Italy – “A Dandy in New York” that is elegant, exquisite and first-thing big city vogue in the old-fashioned way. John Varvatos proposes a balanced collection with sophisticated rock-n-roll sensibility.
The palette of colors for the Fall Winter 2015/16 collection perfectly blends into the season’s atmosphere. It extends from classic black charcoal tones, warm chocolate, wine, tobacco and military khaki. It is also highlighted by sober and elegant camel hue. Used fabrics are wool, cashmere, nappa leather, shearling and suede. And there is quite a bit of exquisite embroideries. All of materials are intense and tactile. That is what makes the collection more credible and consistent.
Each silhouette combines the total male look. They include slim cut pants and large coats. The accessories such as the fingerless gloves, knitted scarves, fancy hats, bags and belts fulfil the character of the collection. It certainly could be tempted to say that the designer takes care of every detail of his vision. And it is worth remembering that the devil lives in them.
The collection is a kind of expression of longing for being just dandy. Tomorrow never die, like men’s classic kind.
