Paris, France – In the new Fall Winter 2015/16 collection, French fashion house 22/04 gets us off to a great start in Paris with silhouettes featuring navy blue, off white, burgundy, stripes, black, plaids and fox red. The house puts them into its fabrics of knit, wool, boiled wool, woven materials and just a hint of satin for highlights
Artistic director Stéphanie Haan cuts the trousers in traditional sense. That is to say not too baggy. We see the trousers also cut in slim proportions. She pairs them with lots of slim fitting knit tops, poncho capes, arm warmers and two tone in the dress shirts.
Haan puts lots of attention to the end of the trousers. Some are cut 3 inches above the ankles while some are cut just above the ankles. Some hems are done with 1.5 inches elastic. The regular cuffs are micro-sized and are only about a one half inched. As embellishments in the collection, we find many removable fur tongs placed on the hard bottom dress shows and also see a great many arm warmers. She completes them in fur and in other warm, fuzzy materials.
In a world where many houses are trying to make formal wear very appealing to younger clients, Haan has done a fantastic job of dissimulating her formal wear into more accessible looks through the adventurous styling that features sports tops in leopard.
