Lodz, Poland – A modern-day anarchist meeting a preppy student? This is the surprising combo of these two associated with Britain styles at the runway of Diesel Black Gold for Fall/Winter 2015-2016.
The brand’s signature piece — the denim — is washed, coated, distressed, patched, slim fitted and dyed with an uneven, faded effect. A traditional school blazer is changed to give a rebellious feel. We have also preppy sweatshirts, shirts, sweaters and quilted vests. The strong point of the collection is also the raw masculinity of the jackets and coats made of wool, tweed and leather. This is all on a color palette consisting of black, blue, indigo, charcoal, sage, military green and red.
On the runway one can see chic clothes covered in pins, chains, patches and zippers just to create a loud statement. Each set is a combination of many details (checks, houndstooth, zippers), fabrics (some crisp, some with texture) and different lengths layering and contrasting is very important here to get the desired effect. A military feeling is also present in the new collection with each model loudly calling for respect while going down the runway.
If you enjoy that “I don’t give a damn” effect in your clothes, and you are a style maverick, then this collection is a MUST.
