Milan, Italy – Ermenegildo Zegna opens the cooler season 2015 with the profile of a fashionable warrior, who rises to survive in the urban jungle. The urban uniforms in its colors and styles refer to the veritable tropical forest where only up-to-date kind… He will survive!
Artistic director Stefano Pilati brings something fresh to the classic. Noteworthy are the smart, fully cut pants stylized to nonchalant breeches. Also, there are multi-layered trousers tapered downwards. The textures of shimmering trench coats or inserts with silver hue call to mind the tropical rain. The coats are still standard, but enriched with some dose of militarism, with extra pockets, zips and clasps. Outerwear’s role play the heavy sweaters, also modified to modern elegant hoodies. The velvet corduroy experiences its renaissance. And iconic American baseball cap shows the new face as stylish must have autumn’s outfits. New lives get also sachets interchangeably wore with leather backpacks.
The collection’s color scheme stays in tones of green, gray, foxy red, black and navy, and deep marsala also. All of the colors just strenghten the character of shown pieces.
Pilati definitely raises the bar to high fashion stage. However, each of us has the nature of the warrior.
