Lodz, Poland – The Fall/Winter 2015/16 show for the new collection at Moncler Gamme Bleu started with a retrospective tribute to the brands classic padded jacket, which is dated back to the fifties.
The models take off their clothes in a dramatic manner to reveal an exquisite combination of detailed craftsmanship. The collection is inspired by jockey uniforms, which are taken to a higher level with a mix of bold colors, graphic design and well-defined silhouettes. Each set is sharply tailored and features highly creative usage of geometric details like checks, zigzag-zag lines, vertical stripes, plaid and argyle, forming unusual patchwork design. One can see innovative play with proportion with the cropped jackets and high-waisted trousers.
The signature Moncler down jacket is combined with classic pieces such as suits, sport coats, Chesterfield coats, trenches, capes, cardigans, polo shirts, and trousers. All is made in combined fabrics like: wool, cashmere, nylon, cotton, fur and leather. The collection is divided into four groups: Grey/camel, grey, red/white/blue and a black tie.
The eccentric, sporty feel is combined with accessories like Jockey caps, riding boots, bow ties, ties and riding glasses. Designers can create unique patterns and create one-of-a-kind custom ties artwork on their ties.
Designer Thom Browne’s work in the collection is a sign of superior craftsmanship and an innovative look on the jockey career.
