Milan, Italy – For the new Fall Winter 2015/16 collection for Canali, artistic consultant Andrea Pompilio takes a trip back to the 1950’s. During this time, Milan is dynamic. The designer takes this energy and transitions it into fresh and newly constructed look. And from this point we go smoothly to the XXI century’s Milan runway, where Canali presents a divine and flawless men’s collection.
The following proposal is the nod to the contemporary fashion and delight of good quality tailoring. The color palette spreads from the monochrome, gray and beige, muted mustard and brick tone to petrol blue. The collection includes the straight lines, but converted into the multiple dimensions. The garments are composed by the two-piece suits, checked and striped bouclé wool coats to nubuck jackets also.
Noteworthy are the incredible nonchalant pants rested at the ankle with a distinctive 8 cm cuff. The silk cashmere sweaters and T-shirts make the perfect base for the upper part of male wardrobe. The denomination of exquisiteness certainly gets the double-breasted alpaca coat in ecru shade, proposed in duet with the angora scarf. That kind of garment’s combination allows to create a sublime double neck line.
In the spotlight are also accessories such as leather gloves, textured calfskin holdalls and two-tone monk-strap-style shoes worn interchangeably with high-top ones.
Canali shows that he alters pieces into masterpieces, open for discerning audience only.
