Paris, France – Today the French fashion house Guy Laroche announced during the Paris haute couture season that it has selected the American designer Adam Andrascik as its new creative director.

Andrascik – a native of Pittsburg – replaces Marcel Marongiu, who had been designing for the house since November 2007. This latter is accredited with bringing Guy Laroche from the brink of despair and back to the hierarchy of the French fashion system with his innovative and sassy designs.

Andrascik studied at Central Saint Martin in London. He was hired as an intern at prestigious houses like Proenza Schouler and Gucci. Then he launched his own line in 2010.

Andrascik will present his first collection for the house on March 4,2015 during the Paris ready-to-wear shows.
