Paris, France Y-3 this season is all about energetic streetwear that is remade with an urban chic tip. We see the guys dressed in lots of navy, olive and black with just a touch of red.
The Fall-Winter 2015/16 collection has lots of nice lambskin bombers with shearling interiors. They rise high with zips. The shearling is also a featured lining in many of the capuches.
According to GQ France fashion editor, James Sleaford, the collection is a reflection of the changing times. He commented the following:
“Before people would wear their training shoes and then change them once they got to the office. Now lifestyles are becoming busier, so people have adapted streetwear like the Y-3 collection into their permanent office attire”.
The pants are baggy and have drawstrings. Yarn knits are used in the creation of the now indispensible leggings. Artistic director Yoji Yamamoto also incorporates blue technical fabrics that are very light for the creation of the short-cropped jackets. Black grey navy, olive, hint of red
Yamamoto does not neglect the accessories for the season. He gives us generous amounts of large backpacks, knit coats in wool and with matching gloves.
