Lodz, Poland – Korean designer Songzio showed a dark, eccentric approach to menswear for Fall/Winter 2015-2016.
The collections seems to be natural, yet modern at the same time. There is something really British about the sets with the slim bottoms, paired with boxy and more voluminous tops. Not maybe a typical rock’n’roll dandy, it is more sculpted and sharp.
The collection consists of trenches, jackets, cigarette pants, turtlenecks, suits even capes. Some pants have wide legged draping. Most of the pieces are in solid black, which in turn causes the collection to have a rather harsh, primal look. The over colors included tan, green and grey.
Some silhouettes include details like animal and geometric prints, while other are in shiny, metallic fabrics. One can also see greatly made lapels and collars, made with great precision in geometric shapes. Accessories are reduced to minimum just hats, scarfs and Chelsea boots.
The customer of the designers isn’t one looking for the classical basics more a man looking for a simple yet striking effect.
