St. Petersburg, Russia – Olga Malyarova is without a doubt the true romantic from among the designers showing their new collections Fall Winter 2015/16 edition of the St. Petersburg Fashion Week. We find her having the time of her life as she creates beautiful gowns and long dresses for every memorable and special occasion.
After a lovely section of conservative maxi dresses in floral prints and with long sleeves, she takes us into a section of red carpet attire.. Soft, shimmering silk is used to create body-hugging sheath gowns. Here she gives into true glamor as she adds quite a bit of rhinestone encrustations. In some looks such as her long gown with skin revealed and with semi-train in flounces, she uses the crystals to cover the modesties of the body. She also uses them in a two-piece dinner ensemble that features a short cut mini skirt.
Large poppies are printed on one soft gown. Its top has been created in white lace. From there we see her really going for broke as she has a peekaboo cut out in the back of one white gown. This gown is covered in pearls and crystals and has slim sleeves. She further expresses this idea in another dress that reveals even more of the back skin with a larger cutout. However, this one is done entirely of lace and has no embellishments like crystals, pearls and embroideries.
A Mae West red is used in one sheath gown. It has long sleeves and is finished in a mountain of ostrich feathers. She follows this one up with a black gown. Unfortunately this latter lacks the finesse of it close predecessor. However, when all is said and done, this is a forgivable faux pas. And it does not take away from the overall strength of this beautiful work for the season.
